Sensory Hug® Maxi

The Sensory Hug® consists of Lycra® and Orthowrap™, providing sensory and proprioceptive feedback with dynamic compression. Research has shown that deep pressure can help reduce overactivity and irregular behaviour in individuals with sensory processing challenges. To address the difficulty of maintaining consistent deep pressure, the Sensory Hug® was developed.

The Sensory Hug® serves as a therapeutic tool for individuals with sensory-seeking behaviours, including those with Autism, ADHD/ADD, and SID/SPD.

How to Use the Sensory Hug®:

Wear the Sensory Hug® under or over regular clothing for support and unhindered movement. It can be worn during routines or specific activities as needed.

Choosing the Right Size:

  • Measure around the chest at armpit level for a snug fit (see specifications tab for details).
  • Maxi hugs come with 3 zip strips (3cm, 5cm, and 7cm) to adjust the garment's tightness for the correct pressure.

Care Instructions:

  • Hand wash or machine wash at 40°C.
  • Lay the garment flat to dry (avoid tumble drying).
